Do I accept that my plans are rushed?

the prayer group on Tuesday, we shared freely on the facts of news, events and movies that we have arrested and affected.

Listening to stories with simplicity and sincerity brothers and sisters, I saw the wonders that God works in our lives but also the fighting and the crosses we have to bear as Christians. I wondered if the Lord was really the essence of my life today in both my choice in my actions and my words. A priest once told me that the goal of every Christian is to strive for holiness.

But I accept that is what my plans are rushed, they do not realize or they are different from what I originally wanted? Do I refuse proposal because it does not match my desire and this life I chose to give the Lord? Do I choose from one year left to serve to put my life on standby? What relationship, and what do I look for natural disasters, material things, the brothers who are suffering around me?

The question we might ask ourselves in all truth is: What is essential for us and directs our lives? Does it give the place that is actually due to the Lord?

In the movie "Men and Gods", threats of death around them, the Cistercian monks of Tibhirine in Algeria have chosen to go after the gift of life they have done to the Lord. Yet they have not been spared by doubt, fear and the desire to flee to own any rights. This film highlights the choices and spiritual battles we face daily. It is often difficult to choose between the Lord and attractions ephemeral and temporary imposed on us by society.

But if we chose the path of Christ, do not be discouraged even it is sometimes difficult, especially if it makes us really happy. Because like Mary, we have chosen the better part.
